Refunds are only possible if the customer paid via an e-wallet. Payments made via banking apps cannot be refunded.
Setup
DuitNow is automatically available to all business-verified Malaysian merchants — no additional steps required. For cross-border merchants outside Malaysia:- Navigate to Settings in your HitPay dashboard.
- Click on Payment Methods.
- Click Turn On next to DuitNow.
Payment Flows
Online
- Customer sees the DuitNow option on the checkout page.
- Customer selects DuitNow — a QR code is displayed.
- Customer scans the QR using any supported e-wallet or banking app.
- Transaction is completed.
POS / Quick Sale
- Merchant selects DuitNow from the Payment Methods list.
- A dynamic DuitNow QR code is displayed to the customer.
- Customer scans the QR using any supported e-wallet or banking app.

Customers can pay using any bank or e-wallet linked to the DuitNow network, including Touch ‘n Go, Maybank, CIMB, Public Bank, and more.
Why can't I refund a DuitNow payment?
Why can't I refund a DuitNow payment?
Refunds are only supported for payments made via e-wallet. Payments completed through a banking app cannot be refunded through HitPay.
