Verifying an Indonesia-Registered Business
Businesses in Indonesia must provide valid identity and business documentation based on their entity type. Additional requirements may apply depending on your business activities.
Verification Process
Identity Verification
The account representative must complete:
- Government-issued ID (KTP for residents / KITAS + Passport for foreigners)
- Selfie submission for verification
ID verification will be conducted after the bank account is linked.
Required Documents by Entity Type
Sole Proprietorships
- KTP (residents) or KITAS + Passport (foreigners)
- NPWP
- NIB
- Sole Proprietorship Certificate of Registration (Sertifikat Pendaftaran Pendirian Perseroan Perorangan)
- Recent bank statement (showing business bank account)
- Proof of business activity (see below)
- Any applicable business licenses (see examples below)
Corporations, Partnerships, and Foundations
- KTP (residents) or KITAS + Passport (foreigners) of director
- Ministerial Approval Letter for latest director appointment (SK Menkeh atas Akta Pengangkatan Direktur Terakhir)
- NIB document
- Entity NPWP
- Deed of Establishment (Akta Pendirian Perusahaan)
- Latest Amendment Deed (Akta Perubahan Perusahaan Terakhir)
- Recent bank statement
- Proof of business activity (see below)
- Any applicable business licenses (see examples below)
Acceptable Proof of Business Activity
You can provide any of the following:
- Sales/purchase contracts or invoices
- Pro forma invoices from suppliers
- Proof of business insurance
- Subscription receipts (e.g. AWS, Xero)
- Utility bills in the business name
- Website domain ownership
- Registration on e-commerce platforms (e.g. Tokopedia, Shopee)
- Qualifications or association memberships
- Business-related bank transactions
Proofs should match the nature of your business and activities displayed on your website.
Common Additional Requirements
Additional licenses may be required depending on your sector. Below are examples:
