Filling in Card Details

The HitPay App offers you the flexibility to accept card payments either through a Terminal or by manually entering card details. Here’s a step-by-step guide to conducting a sale and receiving payments through card entry:

Open the HitPay app and input the charge amount and tap the Charge button. Select the Key in Card Details payment method.

There are two entry options for the Key in Card Details payment option:

Manual Card Entry

Enter your customer’s credit card information manually, including Card Number, Card Expiry Date, and CVV. After inputting the details, click Complete Payment.

Card Scanning

If you prefer a faster entry process, the new scanning feature comes in handy. Here’s how it works for both iOS and Android devices:

  • For iOS (Camera Scanning)

    • Select Scan Card Details
    • Position the credit card within the frame
    • The app will capture the card’s details, including the expiry date
    • Your customer needs to input the CVV for security reasons
    • You may also be prompted to enter an OTP code sent to the customer
    • Enter the OTP and click Complete Payment to finalize the transaction
  • For Android (NFC Scanning)

    • Click on Scan Card Details
    • Ensure that your phone is NFC compatible and has NFC turned on.
    • Place the credit card near the NFC sensor (usually located at the back of the phone)
    • The app captures the card’s details, along with the expiry date
    • Your customer needs to input the CVV for security reasons
    • You may be prompted to enter an OTP code sent to the customer
    • Enter the OTP code and click Complete Payment to process and charge the card
This advanced scanning feature is not currently available in the Philippines (PH) and Indonesia (ID)

PayNow QR

You also have the option of processing payments via PayNow QR. You generate a QR code that can be scanned by your customer to complete a payment.

HitPay collects payments on your behalf for any PayNow QR transactions. Upon collecting the funds from the customers, HitPay will payout to you according to your payout schedule.

Hence upon scanning the PayNow QR in the HitPay checkout page, the customer would see the beneficiary as HitPay Payment Solutions Pte Ltd.

  • Launch the HitPay App

Begin by opening the HitPay app on your device. On the home page, enter the transaction amount and tap the Charge button to continue.

You can also add an invoice number, remarks, or any description under the Add Description field.
  • Choose Payment Method

A list of the available payment methods would be shown; select PayNow as the payment method.

  • Completing Payment

A QR code would be generated. Your customer can now scan the code on their smartphone to proceed to checkout and complete the payment. Once the payment has been completed successfully, a payment success message would be displayed in the HitPay App.

You can choose to send a receipt of the transaction to the customer via email or text

Scan to Pay

Scan to Pay is a convenient payment method that allows you to send the payment checkout experience to the customer’s phone. This is helpful, as some of your customers may not be comfortable with entering their card details manually at the POS. Offering the payment experience through scanning also has another advantage: it can integrate various online payment methods into your POS (e.g., BNPL, ApplePay, etc.).

Customers must use the camera or a QR code scanner to scan. Please do not use the banking app directly.
  • Enter the amount and click on Charge
  • Select “Scan to Pay”
  • Display the generated QR code to your customer
  • Customer should scan the QR code using their camera
  • Wait for payment confirmation on your POS app
  • Payment completed
Scan to Pay involves converting a payment link into a QR code.

Cash Transaction

The Cash Payment Method is a very straightforward process for logging in-person cash payments into HitPay.

You should get a payment success message to confirm the transaction has been successfully recorded.
